By completing the course students become familiarized with a series of key concepts in the study of literature. Students can thus understand, recognize and apply these concepts with respect to text, context and intertextuality. This takes place through an understanding of the basic genres and periods of literature in English. At the end of the course students will have also improved their critical thinking abilities and oral and written skills.
