ADMISSION PROCEDURE FOR THE GRADUATE STUDY PROGRAMME

The Department of Psychology at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Split announces the Call for student enrollment in the 2026/2027 academic year.

THE PROCEDURE OF APPLICATION TO GRADUATE STUDY PROGRAMME
In order to apply for the Graduate Study Program Psychology, an applicant must have completed an undergraduate degree in Psychology (minimum of 180 ECTS credits).
Application for a Graduate Study includes:

certificate or diploma of the completed undergraduate university study,
official transcript of records or diploma supplement,
curriculum with course descriptions,
certificate of recognition for foreign qualifications (if the applicants completed their studies outside the Republic of Croatia)
proof of English language proficiency at a minimum B2 level.

Admissions are held in September in accordance with the published call for applications.

RECOGNITION OF PRIOR QUALIFICATIONS

The recognition of foreign higher education qualifications for admission to graduate (master’s) studies is conducted in accordance with the University of Split's Regulations on the Academic Recognition of Foreign Higher Education Qualifications and Periods of Study, through the procedure described here.

Admission Ranking Procedure	1. Evaluation of academic achievement in the university undergraduate study, determined according to the overall grade point average achieved during the course of study 2. Additional assessment evaluating: • motivation for enrolling in the study programme • scientific and research interests in the field Applicants for admission to the study programme are required to take the additional assessment. Failure to attend is considered withdrawal from the admission process. A negative assessment in the additional assessment constitutes an exclusion criterion. The additional assessment for admission to the University Graduate Study in Psychology will be conducted online from 28 to 29 September 2026, according to the schedule published on the Faculty website (www.ffst.unist.hr).

APPLICATIONS

Applications for admission will be accepted from 21 to 25 September 2026 until 12:00 noon online via the following e-mail address: master-additional.assessment@ffst.hr.

Application documents:

• application form

• scanned original diploma/certificate confirming completion of the relevant university undergraduate study

• scanned certified transcript of records showing the number of ECTS credits earned, or the original/certified copy of the diploma supplement for the completed university undergraduate study

• scanned decision on the recognition of a foreign educational qualification for the purpose of continuing studies in the study programmes of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Split (only for applicants with a foreign educational qualification). The application for recognition of a foreign educational qualification is submitted to the University of Split, Ruđera Boškovića 31, Split.

• scanned certificate of a passed English language examination at B2 level (the following certificates are accepted: a copy of a diploma for candidates who completed secondary school or an undergraduate/graduate study programme in Croatia or abroad in English; a certificate issued by a foreign-language school on the school's letterhead, bearing a signature and stamp; verified international certificates such as Cambridge, TOEFL, IELTS, PTE Academic) – to be submitted only by applicants who did not complete their university undergraduate study at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Split.

ADMISSION RANKING PROCEDURE

All applicants for admission are ranked according to the points they achieve in the admission ranking procedure.

The admission ranking procedure is based on:

1) evaluation of academic achievement in the university undergraduate study, determined according to the overall grade point average achieved during the course of study; and

2) an online additional assessment of motivation for enrolling in the study programme and scientific and research interests in the field.

Applicants for admission to the study programme are required to take the additional assessment. Failure to attend is considered withdrawal from the admission process. A negative assessment in the additional assessment constitutes an exclusion criterion.

Applicants are entitled to enrolment according to their order on the ranking list until the enrolment quota is filled.

An applicant who has been granted the right to enrol but fails to enrol by the prescribed deadline forfeits that right.

ENROLMENT

Enrolment of applicants in the University Graduate Study in Psychology will take place on 1 and 2 October 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon, at the Faculty's Student and Participant Affairs Service.

Documents that applicants are required to submit in person for enrolment:

• enrolment form, student record sheet and consent form

• birth certificate (original) or an electronic record from the civil registry issued through the e-Citizens service; no restriction on the date of issue

• one colour passport-size photograph (3.5 cm × 4.5 cm)

• a copy of a valid identity card (no certification required), together with the original for inspection; if the applicant does not have a valid identity card, a certificate of residence must be submitted

• original diploma/certificate confirming completion of the relevant university undergraduate study

• certified transcript of records showing the number of ECTS credits earned, or the original/certified copy of the diploma supplement for the completed university undergraduate study

• decision on the recognition of a foreign educational qualification for the purpose of continuing studies in the study programmes of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Split (only for applicants with a foreign educational qualification). The application for recognition of a foreign educational qualification is submitted to the University of Split, Ruđera Boškovića 31, Split.

THE PROCEDURE OF APPLICATION TO UNDERGRADUATE STUDY PROGRAMME

The procedure of applications to Undergraduate Study Programme Psychology takes place via the National IT System of Applications to Higher Education Institutions (NISpVU), which can be accessed via the website http://www.postani-student.hr . ADDITIONAL ASSESSMENT

Candidates for admission to the Undergraduate Study Program Psychology MUST complete an application for an additional assessment.

In addition to applying through the NISpVU system, applicants are also required to submit their application for the additional assessment directly to the Faculty.
A valid application includes a completed APPLICATION FORM and two attachments (certificate of English language proficiency and payment confirmation). Payment information can be found in the Application Form. Only candidates who submitted their application on time will be able to access the additional assessment. Candidates will receive an invitation for the online test to the email specified in the Application Form. Candidates who have taken the online test will subsequently receive an invitation for an online interview.

In addition to applying through the NISpVU system, candidates are also required to submit their application for the additional assessment directly to the Faculty between June 1 and June 19, 2026, by sending it online to the following email address:

The additional assessment consists of two parts, both conducted online, aimed at evaluating the abilities, motivation, and skills necessary for the study program.

The assessment will take place from June 29 until July 3, 2026, according to an invitation that will be sent to the candidate’s email address.

The additional assessment in the autumn term will be held only if the enrollment quota is not filled during the summer admission period. All information regarding applications and the implementation of the additional assessment in the autumn term will be announced later on the Faculty's website (www.ffst.unist.hr).

RECOGNITION OF PRIOR QUALIFICATIONS

The recognition of foreign secondary school qualifications for admission to undergraduate studies in the Republic of Croatia is carried out through the Agency for Science and Higher Education, following the procedure described here.

ENROLMENT

All applicants who have secured a place within the enrolment quota and confirmed their intention to enrol must complete their enrolment in person at the Student Affairs Office between 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m.

Summer enrolment period: 16–17 July 2026

Applicants admitted within the enrolment quota for the Psychology study programme are required to pay the full annual tuition fee of EUR 6,000.00 at the time of enrolment.

Note: For international students who do not yet have a Croatian Personal Identification Number (OIB), the reference number should be: HR00 43004-0.
One colour passport-sized photograph (3.5 cm × 4.5 cm). Please write your full name on the back of the photograph.
A photocopy of a valid identity card (certification not required), together with the original for verification. Applicants who do not possess a valid identity card must submit a certificate of residence instead.
Original birth certificate or an electronic extract from the national civil registry issued through the e-Građani (e-Citizens) system.

Additional documentation (where applicable):

Proof of permanent residence status.

IMPORTANT NOTICE

Applicants who are entitled to priority admission based on their status as a person from the alternative care system or single-parent status must submit proof of the relevant status to the Faculty no later than 6 July 2026.
