The mail goal of this course is to introduce a social history and everyday live of medieval communes on the eastern coast of the Adriatic Sea. The lectures should provide the look into the structure of the medieval society, the position of individuals within medieval social groups, and relationship to other estates in the commune. This course will also argue about economic systems in the Middle Ages. Economic position of certain social groups will be also introduced to the students. One of the aims of lectures is also outlining the relationship of the community against the marginalized members of medieval society and those participants who were excluded. Course should also instruct the students how to critically access to the text and how to look into the problem from different aspects. On this course students will learn how to create a scientific work by expressing their views with scientific arguments. |
