Description:
Understanding and ability for sociological thinking about number of ethical issues with which researchers come across during planning and realizing sociological research.
Learning outcomes:
  1. recognize and categorise potential dangers and risk (emotional, physical, ethical etc.) for the researchers and participants in the research
  2. discuss ethical aspects of the research methods (observation, surveys etc.)
  3. interpret ethical doubts that may arise in different phase of the research process.
  4. explain major ethical principles and their application in conducting research
  5. evaluate the social role of a sociologist
