CROATIAN LITERARY HERITAGE

The subject is envisioned as a short overview of the heritage of Croatian literary word, main periods in its history and a review of key names in its evolution. Special emphasis is put on the description, investigation and sensibilisation for Croatian traditional heritage and culture, life and customs, habits and beliefs, tastes, local and regional particularities and value systems, as forms and forgotten contents of national identification. This is especially with regards to the need of systematic acquisition and preservation of literary treasure, folklore poetry, rhetoric and theatric pieces, and others.

1. interpret the meaning and role of individual names and literary periods in Croatian literary history
2. interpret the most important literary works
3. apply critical methods and knowledge in the evaluation of key literary works
4. discuss literary works in a competent and exploratory/researhing manner
5. discuss key issues in the field of Croatian literature
6. participate in thematic conferences on literary themes
7. emphasis on the names, works and phenomena which defined Croatian literature
