Antonia Luketin Alfirević, PhD, graduated in Italian and Spanish language and literature at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Zagreb and obtained her PhD degree in Linguistics at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Split. She is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Italian Language and Literature at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Split where she teaches the courses Phonology and Morphology of the Italian Language, Introduction to Italian Onomastics, Semantics, and Spanish Language 1 and 2. She has authored and co-authored several scientific papers published in the country and abroad and has participated at twenty international scientific conferences. Her areas of scientific interest are onomastics, phraseology and contrastive analysis of the Italian and Croatian.
She is a member of the Croatian Society for Applied Linguistics (HDPL) and the International Association of Italian Language Professors (AIPI - Associazione Internazionale dei Professori d'Italiano).
