1. Teaching Activities

Foreign language courses aligned with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR)
Online language learning programmes
Administration of foreign language proficiency tests

2. Research Activities

Research in applied linguistics, sociolinguistics, psycholinguistics, anthropological linguistics and contact linguistics, focusing on the acquisition of linguistic, communicative and pragmatic competence in a second or foreign language; language contact; bilingualism and multilingualism; diglossia and polyglossia; the relationship between language and culture; linguistic identity; and related topics
Publication of research papers and monographs
Collaboration with other foreign language centres in Croatia and abroad (particularly through mobility programmes such as Erasmus and CEEPUS), as well as with departments of foreign languages and literatures at Croatian and international universities

Public engagement and outreach
Promotion of English as a global language and as a language of science and education
Promotion of other foreign languages, in line with the European Union's language policy objectives, particularly the development of proficiency in two foreign languages
