Born in Stuttgart, Germany. Completed secondary education at a language-focused grammar school in Split. Graduated from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Zagreb, with degrees in Phonetics and Russian Language and Literature. She obtained her PhD in Linguistics from the same faculty, with a special focus on phonetics, under the supervision of Prof. Gordana Varošanec-Škarić. Since 2004, she has been employed at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Split.
