He was born in 1982 in Split, and in 2005 he graduated in history and archaeology from the University of Zadar, where he defended his doctoral thesis "Roman soldiers on inscriptions from Salona during the Principate" in 2015 under the mentorship of Anamarija Kurilić. He was employed as a trainee curator of the epigraphic collection at the Archaeological Museum in Split for a year, then for two years he was employed as a history teacher at the Don Lovre Katić Elementary School in Solin. He passed the professional exam for the title of museum curator, the professional exam for the title of history professor, and the professional exam for a tourist guide in Croatian and English. At the Department of History, he teaches courses in ancient history, and at the Military Maritime Studies program, he teaches courses in military history, and he mentored more than thirty students in the preparation of their Bachelor's theses and diploma theses. His scientific interest is focused on the study of Roman military history and provincial administration, the history of ancient Dalmatia and its capital city of Salona. He has published a scientific monograph dedicated to soldiers in the service of the governor of the Roman province of Dalmatia, about thirty original scientific papers, about ten review, professional papers and preliminary reports, a number of popular works, he has presented at about twenty scientific and ten professional international and domestic conferences, he has organized the international scientific conference "The Army as a Connecting Factor in the Roman World" (Split, 2024), he has participated in archaeological research at several sites in Salona, of which it is important to highlight the excavations conducted in 2016, 2017 and 2026 in collaboration with the Archaeological Museum in Split. He is the recipient of the 2020 Science Award of the University of Split and the Award of the Faculty of Philosophy in Split.
