Biography
Ivana Bojcic, a citizen of the Republic of Croatia, was born in Split on November 2, 1970. After graduating from high school in 1989, she enrolled in a double-major program at the then Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Zadar. She graduated in 1994, thereby obtaining the professional title of Professor of English Language and Literature and Italian Language and Literature.
She has extensive work experience acquired in various educational institutions: from 1994 to 2009 she was employed as a foreign language teacher at the Center for Foreign Languages in Split, where she worked with learners of different ages and levels of proficiency. In addition to regular teaching, she also participated in the preparation of courses for Cambridge exams (FCE, CAE, CPE). From 2004 to 2008, she mentored English studies students.
At the same time, she lectured at various higher education institutions: from 2000 to 2001 at the University of Applied Sciences in Split; from 2002 to 2003 at the Faculty of Economics in Split; and from 2005 to 2010 at the Faculty of Science in Split. In 2009, she was elected to the teaching rank and position of Senior Language Instructor at the Department of English Language and Literature of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Split, and she was reappointed to the same rank in 2014 and 2019.
