Lada Maleš is an associate professor at the Department of Teacher Education, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Split.
She graduated with a degree in Electrical Engineering (specializing in Computer Science) from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture, University of Split in 1996. She obtained her Master of Science degree in Technical Sciences, field of Computer Science, in 2002. In 2017, she defended her doctoral dissertation titled Modeling a Multi-Agent Dynamic System at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing, University of Zagreb. Her research focuses on the modeling and application of multi-agent systems and the integration of computational thinking in education.
From 1997 to 2004, she worked as a teaching assistant at the Faculty of Science, University of Split. Since 2004, she has been employed at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Split, initially as a lecturer and senior lecturer, and from 2021 to 2026 as an assistant professor. She has served as Head of the Department of Teacher Education since 2023.
At her home institution, she teaches several courses in computer science and information and communication technology across multiple departments. She is also a long-standing external associate at the Faculty of Science, University of Split.
She is currently a research collaborator on the project The Hidden Curriculum in Higher Education (2025–2029, NextGenerationEU).
She is a member of the professional association IEEE, IEEE Computer Society, as well as a member of the Organizing Committee for the international Bebras challenge in computational thinking, Dabar @ucitelji.hr.
