About us
A lecture entitled “Stories of Salona: From Ruins to Living Heritage” was held in Salona, organised by the Centre for Intangible Cultural Heritage at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Split. The event brought together students and other interested participants. The lectures were delivered by members of the Centre: Associate Professor Ana Torlak, PhD, from the Department of Art History, and Associate Professor Ines Blažević, PhD, from the Department of Pedagogy. They introduced students to the rich heritage of ancient Salona and explored different approaches to its interpretation in the context of archaeological heritage.
Particular emphasis was placed on the importance of connecting Salona with its local cultural context, as well as on interpretive approaches that contribute to a clearer and more comprehensive understanding of the site. In this context, Salona was presented as a place of cultural memory and identity, continually explored through research and educational activities.
