Employed at the Department of Italian Language and Literature, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Split, since December 2006 as a junior researcher in the academic position of assistant in the field of Humanities, scientific field of Philology, branch Romance Studies, within the research project Dalmatia from the Fall of the Serenissima to the National Awakening. At the beginning of her employment at the Department of Italian Language and Literature, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Split, she taught the following courses: Uvod u talijansku lingvistiku, Talijansko-hrvatska kontrastivna analiza, Povijest talijanskog jezika s historijskom gramatikom, and Talijanska kultura i društvo. Since the academic year 2010/2011, she has continuously taught the courses Glotodidaktika, Metodika nastave talijanskog jezika, and Praktikum i školska praksa. She is currently the course coordinator and lecturer for the following courses: Glotodidaktika, Metodika nastave talijanskoga jezika, Odabir i priprema nastavnih materijala za podučavanje i učenje talijanskoga jezika, and Praktikum i školska praksa within the graduate programme in Italian Studies. She also teaches the course Mediteranski karakter života i romanizmi u djelima i libretima opereta splitskih autora within the doctoral programme in Humanities at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Split, as well as Talijanski jezik 1, Talijanski jezik 2, Talijanski jezik 3, and Talijanski jezik 4 at the Department of Art History. Since 2007, she has participated in the research project The Cultural Climate of Dalmatia in the 19th Century. From the academic year 2020/2021, she was a collaborator on the institutional project of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Split entitled Multiword Expressions in the Italian Language: Classification, Translation and Application in Teaching.
She has participated in 28 international scientific conferences in Croatia and abroad and has published one scientific monograph, 25 papers in academic journals and conference proceedings, three book chapters, and two translations.
From the beginning of the academic year 2020/2021 until July 2025, she served as Head of the Department of Italian Language and Literature. Since the academic year 2024/2025, she has been Deputy Chair of the Quality Enhancement Committee at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Split. During her term as Head of Department, she was a member of the Comitato per la promozione della lingua italiana under the Italian Cultural Institute in Zagreb. She is a long-standing member of the Croatian Applied Linguistics Society, the International Association of Italian Studies (A.I.P.I.), and PHRASIS.
Since December 2025, she has been a member of the Commission for Public Awards of the City of Split.
