Tanja Brešan Ančić, PhD is an associate professor at the Department of Croatian Language and Literature at the Faculty of Philosophy in Split. She currently serves as the Head of the Department. She teaches several courses at the undergraduate and graduate studies in Croatian Language and Literature, as well as at the doctoral studies in Humanities at the Faculty of Philosophy in Split. Her areas of interest are the morphology and syntax of the Croatian standard language, standardological issues, the recent history of the Croatian language, the peculiarities of the Split dialect, and the language of the Kingdom of Dalmatia.
She is the head of the Dalmatian Grammarians of the 19th Century project, and is also a collaborator on the projects Public, Private, and Secret Croatian in the 19th Century and Croatian Studies, Andragogy, Philosophy, and Culturology – Harmonization with the Croatian Qualifications Framework (KAFKa).
