The course aims to enable students to acquire the academic skills necessary for successful study. Students will become familiar with academic sources and methods of researching relevant information, as well as with the characteristics and conventions of academic communication and academic genres they will encounter during their studies. With each unit covered, students will activate and consolidate the acquired theoretical knowledge through practical tasks that include reading, writing, presenting, and listening to academic texts.

1. Students will be able to apply appropriate and effective strategies while following lectures and participating in seminars throughout their studies.
2. Students will be able to identify and analyze the specific features of academic discourse.
3. Students will be able to plan, select, and apply appropriate strategies for achieving their own academic goals.
4. Students will be able to critically evaluate and select content necessary for further independent work.
