To enable students for initial independent and successful implementation of scientific research work; for usage of scientific literature and research results during studies and in future work; for writing professional and scientific papers in accordance with the requirements of the methodology.

1. explain the gnoseological basis and epistemological characteristics of science
2. explain the characteristics of scientific knowledge
3. distinguish qualitative and quantitative methodology
4. indicate the basic characteristics of the data collection procedures
5. create different instruments for data collection
6. analyze scientific papers and to identify the characteristics of good professional and scientific work
7. based on research problems, set up research and select appropriate procedures for data collection
8. conduct a research
9. discuss methodological issues
