After completing secondary school in Korčula, she graduated in 2003 from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at the University of Zagreb with a degree in English language and literature and comparative literature. She defended her doctoral dissertation titled "The Development of Pragmatic Competence in the Interlanguage of Croatian Learners of English as a Foreign Language," written under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Sanja Čurković Kalebić, in 2015.
From 2005 to 2008, she worked as an English teacher at the "Ante Curać-Pinjac" Primary School in Žrnovo on the island of Korčula. Since 2008, she has been employed at the Department of English Language and Literature, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Split, as a research assistant. After obtaining her PhD, she was appointed as a postdoctoral researcher. In 2018, she was promoted to the academic title of postdoctoral researcher, and in 2019, she was appointed assistant professor.
She has been involved in university teaching since the 2008/2009 academic year. During this period, she has taught the following courses: Second Language Acquisition, Glottodidactics, Practicum and School Practice, Methodology of English Language Teaching and Aspects of British Culture.
Since October 2018, she has served as a mentor and co-mentor for a total of 16 master's and bachelor's theses.
Since 2020, she has served as the ECTS coordinator for the Department, and since April 2024, she has been the head of the Chair of English Language and Applied Linguistics.
She has been a long-standing member of the examination committee for the professional certification of trainee English teachers in secondary schools in the Dalmatia region.
Her primary scientific interests include second language acquisition, with a focus on interlanguage pragmatics and the development of pragmatic competence in English as a foreign language. She has published 16 scientific papers and has participated in numerous conferences in Croatia and abroad.
