Assoc. Prof. Ines Blažević, PhD, is employed at the Department of Pedagogy of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Split. She was born on March 31, 1979, in Split, where she completed her primary and secondary education and graduated from the College of Teacher Education, University of Split. She earned her Master’s and Doctoral degrees from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Zagreb. She gained her professional experience working as a primary school teacher (progressing to the rank of teacher mentor), a senior advisor for primary education at the Education and Teacher Training Agency, and an external associate for a number of faculties. Her scientific-research and professional activities are focused on the fields of school pedagogy, didactics, multimedia didactics, teaching methods, leisure time pedagogy, history of pedagogy, dormitory pedagogy, and educational quality improvement systems. She continuously pursues scientific and professional development at various types and levels of conferences, where she also delivers lectures. She is the author of numerous scientific and professional papers, as well as manuals. She serves as a reviewer for papers, manuals, textbook materials, projects, and study programs. She has introduced new courses to higher education and participated in the development of lifelong learning programs and strategic documents. She has mentored numerous final, master's, and doctoral theses. She has participated as a leader and member of numerous research teams on various projects. She was the executive editor of Školski vjesnik – Journal for Pedagogical Theory and Practice. She has organized numerous scientific and professional conferences. She is a member of several commissions, committees, and working groups, notably: serving as the head of the Quality Assurance Committee of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Split, member of the Council of the Center for Quality Assurance at the University of Split, member of the Committee for University Studies at the University of Split, head of the Department of Pedagogy of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Split, member of the Center for Transdisciplinary Research and Promotion of Culture of Health, and member of the Center for Intangible Heritage at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Split. Furthermore, she participated in drafting the Development Strategy of the City of Split until 2030 as the coordinator of the Society section (which encompasses the fields of Demographics, Social Care, Healthcare, Sports, Culture, Housing Standards, Education, Urban Safety, and Critical Infrastructures) and as the drafter of the Education section. She is the recipient of a special Dean's Award for exceptional contribution to the reputation of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Split, in the local community (2024), and the Teaching Excellence Award in the academic year 2023/24 for particularly successful teaching and other forms of student engagement.
