Marija Brajčić graduated in 1983 from the Faculty of Natural Sciences, Mathematics and Educational Sciences, University of Split, majoring in Art Education and Fine Arts, under the mentorship of Academician Nenad Cambi. She received her master's degree in 1995 from the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Zagreb, and obtained the academic degree of Master of Social, Humanistic and Theological Sciences in the field of historical sciences. She defended her doctoral dissertation in 2011 at the University of Zadar, also under the mentorship of Academician Nenad Cambi, and obtained the academic degree of Doctor of Science.
Since 2002, she has been working at the Teacher Training College, University of Split (today's Department of Teacher Training and Preschool Education, Faculty of Philosophy, University of Split) as an external associate, and since 2007, she has been permanently employed at the Faculty of Philosophy in Split. In 2016, she was elected Head of the Department of Early and Preschool Education, a position she held until 2021. Since 2013, she has been engaged in the education of adults (sculptors, painters, restorers) in the field of Methodology of Artistic Areas (Fine Arts) under the name PPDMO - CIRCO, organized and implemented by the Faculty of Philosophy in Split. She actively participated in the expert committees for the development of curricula for the Study of Preschool Education according to the principles of the Bologna Declaration. She also participated in the development of the graduate program in Early and Preschool Education for the module Visual Expression and Creation.
Her scientific interest is Fine Arts, Visual Art Education and Cultural Heritage. In her scientific work, she achieves successful collaboration with fellow scientists at home and abroad. Shee regularly presents at international scientific conferences.
She has published three scientific books and 63 scientific papers in the field of visual art education, of which 33 are indexed in the WoSCC, CC and Scopus databases. She was elected to the title of Associate Professor in 2021 in the field of Interdisciplinary Sciences, field of Educational Sciences.
She is a member of the editorial board of the European Scientific Journal and a WoSCC researcher and reviewer. It is internationally recognized and cited.
