Silvija Ugrina, Senior Language Lecturer, graduated in 1994 with a degree in German Studies and English Studies from the University of Hanover. After completing her studies, she worked in secondary schools and at the Croatian Military Academy “Dr. Franjo Tuđman,” at the “Katarina Zrinska” Foreign Language Center in Split. Since 2019, she has been employed at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences of the University of Split.
At the Department of German Language and Literature, she teaches the courses Language Exercises I–VI in the undergraduate program and Language exercises: Translation in the graduate program. As a co-author, she has published scholarly and professional papers in national and international publications and has participated in academic conferences.
In 2022, she served as a language editor for the journal Folia Linguistica et Litteraria, and since 2024 she has been a language editor for the journal Mogućnosti, published by the Literary Circle of Split. Since the 2023/2024 academic year, she has also been teaching as an external associate in the Study division Communication and Media at the University of Split, where she teaches the courses German Language I, II, and III.
