Course objectives:
Introduction to the basic terminology of social dynamics.
Course content:
- Introduction - presentation of the program, literature, methods, deadlines, exams. (2 hours)
- Social inequality and social stratification (3 hours)
- Social mobility (mobility types: intra-generational and intergenerational; horizontal and vertical) (3 hours)
- Structural and circular; net and perfect mobility; motility; consequences of mobility (2 hours)
- Channels and factors of social mobility (2 hours)
- Socio-professional mobility in Croatia (2 hours)
- Social mobility in a comparative perspective (2 hours)
- 1st colloquium (1 hour)
- Migrations - Part 1 (2 hours)
- Migrations - Part 2 (2 hours)
- European migration (2 hours)
- Migration globalization (2 hours)
- Modernity and the evolution of modern societies (2 hours)
- 2nd colloquium (1 hour)
- Final lecture and evaluation (2 hours)
