Course objectives: Introduction to basic characteristics of social position and orientation of youth in contemporary society, sociological theories of marginal groups, youth subcultures and alternative movements, youth activism.

- Youth in civil society and local community (2 hours)
- Youth in the age of globalization (2 hours)
- Youth activism (2 hours)
- Lifestyle of young people in Croatia; youth leisure (2 hours)
- Sociological theories of marginal groups (2 hours)
- The concept of counterculture, subculture and alternative movements (2 hours)
