I was born in Split, Croatia, on January 30, 1991, where I completed both primary school and the Natural Sciences and Mathematics Grammar School. I earned my Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and Informatics Education at the Faculty of Science, University of Split (2009–2012), defending my thesis entitled Apollonius' Problem. I continued my studies at the same faculty and programme (2012–2015), completing my Master's degree with a thesis entitled Synthetic and Analytic Approaches to Conics in Mathematics Education, which was awarded the highest grade.During my studies, I received the Dean’s Award for the academic year 2012/2013 and was a recipient of the City of Split scholarship. In 2013, I also completed a professional training programme as a Computer Programmer for Internet Applications.I began working as a mathematics teacher at the age of 23, during the final year of my studies. Since then, I have gained teaching experience in grammar schools, vocational secondary schools (both public and private), as well as in various primary schools. In 2017, I passed the state professional examination for mathematics teachers.Since 2017, I have been employed at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Split, within the Department of Teacher Education, where I currently hold the position of Lecturer. In addition, I work as an external associate at the Faculty of Science and at the University Department of Forensic Sciences, University of Split.In February 2018, I enrolled in the doctoral programme Contemporary Trends in Preschool and Primary Education at the Faculty of Education, University of Sarajevo. I successfully defended my doctoral dissertation entitled Mental Calculation Competence and the Influence of School Mathematics on November 19, 2021.I actively follow developments and innovations in education, both in Croatia and internationally, and continuously engage in professional development. I am also involved in science popularisation through the Centre of Excellence in Mathematics of the Split-Dalmatia County, where I serve as a lecturer and board member.In 2019, I completed professional seminars in Speed Reading, How to Successfully Develop a Child’s Intellectual Abilities, and Play is Learning – Learning is Play. I am the author of the teacher handbook Matematička lampica (Mathematical Lantern), published by Školska knjiga.Furthermore, I have participated in numerous projects related to education, STEM, and gifted students. Since 2024, I have been a doctoral student in the programme Quality in Education at the University of Zadar.I also serve as Vice President of the MinMaxMat Association, which promotes mathematical literacy and seeks to increase students’ interest and motivation for learning mathematics and other STEM subjects.
