The students participated in the conference poster session with a presentation entitled “Building Competence Through Critical Moments: How Challenges Shape a Peer Tutor’s Skills,” in which they presented and interpreted the results of several months of research in the field of peer tutoring conducted as part of the scientific activities of the aforementioned project. The poster presentation attracted considerable interest among conference participants, while members of the project team praised the originality of the topic, the thoroughness of the research, and the significance of the findings highlighted by the students, as well as the overall contribution of the presentation to the study of peer tutoring.
The conference was also attended by the Vice Dean for Teaching and Student Affairs at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Split, Prof. Zorana Šuljug Vučica, PhD, as well as Prof. Nikica Mihaljević, PhD, and Prof. Antonela Marić, PhD.
As this was the first time that our students independently participated in an international scientific conference, we are extremely proud of the effort, initiative, independence, dedication, research spirit, and critical thinking they demonstrated while taking part in a scientific activity of this kind within an international context. Through their participation, they represented the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Split, with great distinction.
